This contest is for the queer gal who is so great, amazing, awesome, queertastic that it’s hard to believe they’re single - but they are! Remember votes are not based on looks alone, (this is not best-looking bachelorette), there’s more to each of person than you think…click on their photos to read the bios!

Bachelorette with the most votes wins. Winner receives $250 cash and is crowned Most Eligible Queer Bachelorette. Top 5 Bachelorettes get a feature on The L Stop AND are automatically entered to be our Bachelorette for our next Dating Game, where she and her date will receive more prizes! Patience Patience is a photographer and entrepreneur born and raised in Chicago. A bachelor at heart, so don't get too attached. Patience's newest endeavor is creating fine art inspired queer erotic. The company, Q-were, is a yearly calendar started 2012. Patience enjoys traveling, accumulating new experiences and occasionally acting a little foolish. Alena Alena Ratner is best known for her scene in the Chicago music industry, from spinning house music all over the world to becoming part of famed band Shuteye. Alena has become a staple in Chicago as a musician and a DJ. Alena moved to Chicago in 1988 from Kiev, Ukraine, where she began her career in music. Alena has released a multitude of tracks and remixes on labels such as Greenhouse, D'Lectable, and SmartBar's Area DJ Records. In 2004 she began touring globally and played multiple gigs throughout the U.K. and Belgium, headlining at prominent venues like The Egg and The Key in London, Sankey's Soap and Casa Musica in Manchester, Nation in Liverpool, and Stinkey's Peep House in Leeds. Allison Allison is one L of a girl. She holds a degree in Women's Studies from Purchase College and serves as Literary Coordinator of Pride Films & Plays' Women's Work, a writing contest for Sapphic plays and screenplays. Always the drama queen, Allison has written plays for festivals such as Snapshots (20% Theatre Chicago), Gay Play Series (Who Wants Cake? Theatre), Briefs (Theatre Out), Queer Shorts (StageQ), Girl Play (The Women's Theatre Project), and I Can't Think Straight (Ensemble Theatre of Chattanooga). She also has a gay old time editing Off the Rocks: An Anthology of GLBT Writing published annually by NewTown Writers. When she is not on the write track, Allison performs in community theater, teaches drama to people with disabilities, and goes rubber duck hunting. Ripley Ripley was born and raised in Chicago. She's been playing the guitar since she was 8 years old. She's currently in the band, Ripley Caine + The Full Moon. Ripley is also the founder of CAKE Chicago, A LGBTQ art showcase that runs each month at The Red Line Tap. She used to own a vintage clothing store in San Diego called, The Turtle Lounge. Now it's being run online through ETSY. Lisa Lisa is a Chicago based ACTOR with an increasing focus on creating quality content as an Actor and Producer, and she's always interested in meeting like-minded artists. Originally from upstate-New York, Lisa earned a BFA in Acting from East Carolina University. She moved to Chicago, and trained at SECOND CITY Improv and Music Improv Conservatories. Kiera is a witty, warm, caring, funny, athletic, intelligent, fitness-lover. When Kiera is not at the gym, she is boxing, training, or escaping to Wisconsin for an afternoon on the boat. Kathy I'm 28, and a figure skating coach and I love, love, love my job! I’ve been skating since I was 3 and coaching for 10 years. I find it wonderfully fulfilling when I’m not only helping further my skaters physically, but teaching them life skills as well. I'm pretty femmy. I love wearing heels and dresses, but I'm definitely down for some hoodies and jeans and gettin dirty! ….as long as I'm not wearing the dress and heels at the time. haha. Casey Casey just graduated from DePaul university with a creative writing degree. She work from home for a marketing company so her schedule is very flexible. When she's not working, she often fills her evenings doing standup comedy. Deb Do I think I am the most eligible queer bachelorette? I would like to think I am. I see myself as a very successful, romantic and caring lesbian. I have been out since college and have been working on my film career. I came to Chicago and got a degree in web design, and worked with my family until I took a leap of faith and moved to NY, (followed by a move right back home to Chicago). I joined the bowling team during the Gay Games and was honored to attend both the opening and closing parties. When The Center on Halsted opened, I was one of the early participants of most of their women’s events; even leading a monthly film series called Women’s Movie Night. Soon after that I started the Single Lesbians in the City meet up group which is still growing strong and more women are joining every month. I also volunteered with Equality Illinois and went to Springfield twice to help pass the Civil Union Bill. After that I joined the Lesbian Leadership Council and continue to attend events for HRC, LCCP, Equality Illinois, and The L Stop. If i vote for Femmily, do i vote for the two ladies in the picture?

Femmily should be disqualified and join most eligible bachelorettes instead.. or most eligible couple?

I am confused. i voted for Deb instead, I like her.

Shakira-Femmily is actually just the blonde in the picture, sorry if it wasn’t clear!
Aisha-we hope that people read he brief descriptions that accompany each photo so that you can judge who you think qualifies as “most eligible” instead of simply making it a popularity contest. It’s different for everyone!
