  1. There should be a limit to how many times people can vote for themselves. The “refresh, vote again” method doesn’t really accurately calculate a winner, it instead just tallies who is sitting at their computer the longest over the next 48 hours…

  2. Thank you G – we’ll work on finding better methods of voting for future contests.

  3. Why are you ALL so beautiful?! You’re melting my cold little heart, all of you.

  4. Omg, Brittany and steph are the most adorable couple I know. I have known both of them b4 they started dating and I know that they are truly, madly, deeply in love and meant for eachother. A good couple to me is when u find someone who makes u want to better yourself and share your lives together. And they both are meant to be. I’ve had the privilege to know them before they met, when they met and fell in love and soon to walk down the aisle together. I’ve never seen someone so happy and blessed. Good luck! Winning

  5. BTW Brittany and Stephanie are #46 on the voting board. Also I completely agree with G, people who are already at over 2000 votes, really? talk about un-fair!! I’m a contestant in this contest and I voted once for everyone! But to sit there and click vote and refresh and vote again for yourself, un-fair…

    Good Luck everyone!!!

  6. So happy to see my beautiful girls up there and so happy in their relationships!

  7. The Butch of Wands submitted our bio before I got a chance to contribute. Before we discovered that we shared past lives, were guided towards each other in our dreams by a unicorn shaman spirit. We found each other in a magical pink lightning storm and have since given birth to a wizard cat and a lesbian tarot card reading business. We are also DJ partners and future tag-team yoga teachers. All of our sex toys are worn down to stumps so we really need this Early To Bed gift basket more than any other couple here. Please vote for us. If you vote, we will know an visit you in your dreams with our new gift basket. Thanks.

  9. Antonella is my baby sister, I am so happy she has found such a wonderful person and my family couldn’t be happier! Nikki is the most amazing girl, my kids adore her and her laugh is the most contagious EVER! My sister went to a wedding and the best thing came from it…..finding Nikki!
Antonella has to be the most magnetic human being in the face of this earth, she can be anywhere and people gravitate to her. I think sometimes she doesn’t realize just how fantastic she is! I know that they deserve to win…love you guys!!!!

  12. Kept pushing the refresh button this morning, just now to see how this couple got ahead by so much. Just out of curiousity to see how many votes they were getting every minute or so. I did this from 7 40 am to 7 50 am . What can i say, i was bored. They jumped from 2292 to 2542… In ten minutes. Now that’s some cheating. To get that many votes, in that amount of time, at 7 40 in the morning. Wow.

    Posted by Amanda | February 12, 2013, 8:01 am
  13. Now ten minutes later its over 2600.

    Posted by Amanda | February 12, 2013, 8:03 am
  14. This is the most bunk “contest” Iv’e ever seen if you even want to call it that. It’s turned into a contest to prove who has the most time on their hands to refresh a page and vote for the 1000th time. Way to go L Stop

    Posted by Katelyn | February 12, 2013, 8:24 am
  15. So still watching the counts…. 1,000 votes in 40 minutes for one couple this morning. Come on you guys.

    Posted by Amanda | February 12, 2013, 8:34 am
  16. It’s really too bad this contest was set up this way! If only we had as much time on our hands as the few couples “refreshing” and voting over 2,000 times. Pretty Pathetic. My suggestion for the future would be to see how many “likes” a picture recieves. In that case, nobody would be able to cheat.

    Posted by Jenny | February 12, 2013, 9:32 am
  17. L STOP – big time fail at the contest. These are definitely not “unique” votes.

    Posted by Nat | February 12, 2013, 9:36 am
  18. I guess we have no chance of winning unless we refresh and re-vote. Over 4500 votes? Holy crap!

    Posted by JJade | February 12, 2013, 9:39 am
  19. Jenny, I don’t think it’s the couples voting for themselves over and over. It’s probably friends etc. or some random person. I am one of the couples with many votes. I voted once for myself as well as voted once for everyone else. Don’t call the couples pathetic. I entered this contest as a sweet gesture for my wife for valentines day. I really could give a crap if we win. But i agree with you, that the voting is out of control and kind of takes the fun out of the thing.

    Posted by A | February 12, 2013, 9:44 am
  20. Not all of them are caused by couples voting for themselves, I can vouch for that. Social media can take off sometimes. I posted a link on Facebook for one of the couples in support and my (geek) friends made it go viral, garnering a LOT of votes very quickly. I’ve asked them to stop so that people don’t think there’s cheating involved.

    Posted by Shannon | February 12, 2013, 9:54 am
  21. This is all on good fun though right!?!? All the couples are amazing!

    Posted by A | February 12, 2013, 10:15 am
  22. get over the whining about people constantly cheating, I can tell you I am from a community in Illinois that has everyone voting for their favorite couple and yes that would be Brittany and Stephanie, I also know for a fact they have a huge family base as well as people all over the US that know them from one of their parents voting for them…. Stop complaining if you do not have tons of people voting for you…. GO BRITTANY and STEPHANIE…. Everyone will continue to vote for you!!! You two are simply awesome and adorable!!!!!

    Posted by Jane | February 12, 2013, 10:16 am
  23. I agree that this contest is a little redic esp with the fact you can vote refresh and vote, little odd they would have it that way but whatever! I too have a niece in this contest and I can proudly say our whole family and family friends are voting! Of course you want to see your loved ones win!

Maybe next time they should take in account the whole “1 vote a day concept”

Good luck to all you lovely couples, your all stunning!

    Posted by Barb | February 12, 2013, 10:20 am
  24. I agree with Barb! There should be a limit of how many times you can vote per day.

There are actually couples here that deserve to voted based on their story and not just because they have a lot of friends voting for them.

    Posted by gh | February 12, 2013, 10:56 am
  25. Also if this is true, there should be no paying of websites to sit all day and cast votes for people while they are at work etc. if you want to talk pathetic, that is the true definition if that little tidbit of info passed on is true. I agree with Barb and GH there are some really cute and touching stories of how they came into their relationships. I know Brittany and Stephanie have had some incredible mishaps, problems etc. along the way but have always remained steadfast to their commitment to each other. I know I have even cast votes for some other couples along the way other than my favorite.

  26. Good luck to all the beautiful couples in the contest!! Seems a bit crazy with the huge amt of votes but in the end, we are all freaking cute couples! lol Much love to everyone yall. Peace =)

  29. Let me first say I am appalled at the structure of this contest. The is not a contest about love and true relationships but a contest of technological wits and who is the laziest B**** out there who can click and click over and over. Congratulations L Stop for perpetuating the stereotype that lesbians have low paying jobs and have nothing better to do than sit at home and click refresh hundreds of times. I thought the L Stop had better values and beliefs. It was my belief that the L Stop was a community page to bring together the LGBTQ community. Insofar that this contest has only torn apart the community and making many irate at the ridiculousness of this contest. Where is the belief that real couples exist and want to celebrate their love and commitment to one another? Who would want to be part of a contest that only demeans this ideal down to a simple technological competition of who can achieve the most clicks per day. This is an embarrassing atrocity and is inexcusable. The premise of the contest was setup in that couples who thought they were the cutest were asked to submit a photo of themselves. These couples were deceived and deserve not only a fair vote but an apology for being lead on and for the false advertisement of this contest.

  30. A straight couple won this “contest” last year and now this? This website is a joke.

    Posted by Anonymous | February 12, 2013, 1:12 pm
  31. I completely agree with the post above me!!! I am a contestant in this “contest” and I do appreciate my family and friends continuously voting for me and my fiancee! However, I did just recieve an e-mail from the L stop saying “They are making a round 2 voting, top 30 move on and are only allowed 1 vote per IP adress!! So lets see who really wins now.

Like many have said best of luck ladies!! and finally this competition will be fair!!!

  32. Hey! As a couple with a large number of votes, most likely due to having a very super-enthusiastic network of friends and family, I wanted to say that I still think this contest is awesome. It is so inspiring and truly lovely to see so many beautiful couples, old and new. You all keep love alive! Thanks, L Stop, for putting this on. Contests are never easy, but you still manage to keep it fun.

    Much love and happiness,
Lauren (one half of Lauren and Bri)

  33. We appreciate all of the feedback and are really trying to adjust contests so that they can be as fair and fun as possible! We honestly did just want a fun way to appreciate the diverse romance in our community. Yes, last year a straight couple won, as the contest wasn’t limited to queer submissions. Hopefully, these kinds of things can be taken for what they are intended to be…a celebration of our diversity and a fun way to read about some new, loving couples! Many apologies to any who feel slighted, or that we are perpetuating a stereotype. We can not control who votes, or whether they are stay at home moms, or have giant families, or “geek” friends. The main point is that ALL of our couples are beautiful and inspiring!!!!!! We’re working to adjust the voting to address your concerns. Thanks for your patience and feedback, and we hope to keep growing and learning and helping this community connect in positive ways with positive dialogue!!! You women are all amazing 🙂

  34. The “only being able to vote once per house from 3 to 4” is crock, the refresh scam still works… I think the people with the lowest votes should actually win, their counts seem so much more honest and accurate…

  35. Or the top 30 all get prizes! 🙂

  38. This Contest is the biggest crock of BS I have ever seen, first you re-set the contest because of boo hooing from a lot of couples because they simply were not getting votes etc. and appeared to not have a shot in H** to win and now you remove a vote button from a couple in which they have lost over 500 Votes from people contacting me all night yesterday and today that they had not re-voted yet under the One vote per IP Addy rule… they could not cast a vote whatsoever for the couple they wanted. That is total BS you rob a couple of the opportunity to win, when they were clearly in the front running from the previous votes to which they cant get any votes from anyone who had not re-voted on Round 2…. Total BS, but then again, our couple is the cutest couple and they do not need your BS Contest to let any of the huge support system they have know that fact, nor do they need your lame a* sex toy basket or piddly amount of cash and whatever else. Totally annoyed by your bs in regards to this contest, heaven forbid you caved in the first place to the whiners and boo hoos who were not getting anywhere your Round 2 turns out to be an even bigger joke than Round 1 in which people cant even get a vote casted. Hopefully you will totally re-think and learn how to run a contest in the future.

  39. It’s currently 12:04am cst and Lauren and Bri had the high score at midnight when the contest was supposed to close. Just wanted that on record..

    Posted by R | February 14, 2013, 12:05 am
  40. “One” vote per IP address is absolutely the only way this contest should be conducted! Otherwise it would get out of hand, like the previous round where those who can, sit at the computer and literally cast vote after vote. This was clearly demonstrated by those couples who had THOUSANDS OF VOTES in the preliminary round though could only generate a few hundred in the final round. It is obvious, as in reality TV shows, this is a popularity contest of friends and family all pulling together for one outcome. Congrats to that couple who are not only adorable looking aka “Cutest Queer Couple,” but one is and has been represented by a solid network of supporters who clearly love them!

  41. Why are people getting so worked up over the fairness over a fun little contest!?!? What’s the big deal? If you need validation about your ‘cuteness’ from a contest then maybe you should rethink your values. There are plenty of contests out there that don’t limit the voting to 1 per ip – like E’s contest for the best couple!

    Lighten up folks!
