Why you should vote this Election 2012: The Numbers

Obama Forward

With just a few hours before the presidential election it seems as though we have fallen into the exhaustion that is only natural after months of political ads, debate inspired tumbr accounts and call after fundraising call. At this point, the number of voters who are undecided is small, especially among the audience for which I am writing, so there is no point for another persuasive piece. This is dedicated to those of you and those of your friends who are registered to vote, yet have no faith in the system, the extent to which their opinions matter or are just too damn lazy to get out there and cast a ballot. Take a look at these numbers, share them and wake up 30 minutes early tomorrow and lets make this whole Democracy thing work.

About Lauren

Lauren was born and raised in South Minneapolis and like many other innocent midwesterners got sucked into the black hole of Chicago politics 4 years ago. As the LGBT Coordinator for the Gery Chico for Mayor Campaign she attempted to take on the entire city and hasn’t looked back since. Now working for a communications firm, she spends her extra time running around with cases of PBR playing in different sports leagues, hosting couchsurfers from all over the place, and deciding how she is going to change the world. A simple lady at her core, she has decided that the first person to send her an edible arrangement must be the one.
